I like this new Raekwon, Method Man, Ghostface alot! If you have heard me play it on the radio, you might have noticed that I mix it with the original record from time to time. Funny story is how I kinda got “put on” to the sample. Obviously its a Michael Jackson sample, we can all tell that, but I really didnt remember which record it was! The first time I heard the Wu version I made a mental note to dig a lil bit thru the Michael jackson crates to find it, but I never got around to it. This is where Mom dukes comes into the picture..lol..she calls me the other day and says..”Hey you had a good show, (yes Mom Dukes listens from time to time) I like how you played Almost There!” Of course I’m like..what? I didnt play that..whats that? Mom goes..”Michael Jackson, Almost There…you played it…how could you not know?”..Turns out..not only did Mom Dukes put me on, but she still had the original record too! NIIIIIIICE……hence my getting busy with the sample!….Thanks mom!

Kast I gotta be honest, I bit off that a little. When I played my set on Sunday I put on that Wu but I had to play the original behind it. Crowd was luvvin it. Shame on you for not knowing the name of the song. I dont know who did a party break sampling that song and ABC, from the mid 90s, cant find it anywhere. Must be one of those rare vinyls.
Yo that album art is tough as Hell. Cant wait to cop the album next month. I hope it gets released on vinyl!
